Job Summary:

The Commercial Development Manager (B2C Business Acquisitions) will be responsible for leading and integrating the strategic planning and execution of Nespresso USA's acquisition and coffee machine plans, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. This role will also focus on coordinating promotional strategies, evaluating their effectiveness and providing B2C channel support to drive growth and enhance collaboration across various channels. This is a hybrid-based opportunity that works onsite at Nespresso USA's office 2 days per week (Manhattan Herald Square) and 3 days a week from home.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Execution

  • Machine Sales Tracking and Reporting: Own and manage the Machine Sales tracking and reporting system, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis; collaborate with the Sales team to monitor sales performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights that enhance sales effectiveness and drive informed decision-making.

  • Risk and Opportunity Management Support: Provide support in identifying and managing risks and opportunities within the business planning process, ensuring proactive measures are taken to mitigate risks.

  • Connect and Track Deliverables: Establish and maintain tracking mechanisms for commercial and marketing deliverables, ensuring that all planning efforts are aligned with sales teams and retailers to drive successful outcomes.

Strategic Activation and Evaluation

  • Bridge Cross-Channel Activation and Lead Planning: Act as a liaison between different channels to ensure cohesive planning and execution of cross-channel activations, enhancing customer experiences and maximizing impact.

  • National Promo Strategy: Lead the development and execution of the National promotional strategy, ensuring that promotional activities align with overall business objectives and drive sales growth.

  • Promo Guidelines Management: Own the promotional guidelines for customer-specific promotions (CS Promo), including centralizing tracking, gathering insights and learnings, and influencing changes to improve promotional effectiveness.

  • Customer-Specific Activations: ensures maximum impact of machine activation across all tools and tactics by facilitating and coordinating full 360 approach between key stakeholders

  • Evaluation Leadership: Lead the centralization of pre and post-evaluation processes, gathering learnings and insights to inform future strategies and enhance overall performance.

Channel Support

  • Lead Acquisition Hub: Oversee the acquisition hub to ensure alignment between various channels and key accounts (KA), facilitating effective communication and strategy implementation.

  • Support MAP discussions for promos and strategic machine ranges.

  • Support Channel Strategy: Collaborate with stakeholders to support the channel strategy by identifying and commercializing new opportunities that drive growth across all channels.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or in a related field required; Master's degree or MBA preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in Sales, Account Management, Business Acquisitions and/or in Marketing required, preferably within the CPG or Electronics industry.

  • Demonstrated fluency in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint) is required.

  • Must have excellent communication (oral and written), organizational and stakeholder management skills (including the ability to develop and maintain strong, cross-functional stakeholder relationships).

  • Willing and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and through change management with minimal supervision.

  • Must have strong analytical, reporting, negotiation and presentation skills (including the ability to analyze and articulate key data to influence business needs).

  • Must be able to multi-task, prioritize key business tasks/needs and have strong customer service skills.

  • Experience with Circana or UNIFY CRM systems is highly desired.

  • Willing and able to travel up to 10% based on the needs of the team and the business required.

The approximate pay range for this position is 158,000 to $168,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as geographic location.
