## **AI-First Full Stack Developer / Tech Lead (Offshore)**

### **Role Summary**

Ironsail is seeking a senior, AI-first Full Stack Developer / Tech Lead to work directly with our CEO, an engineer and inventor who is building a new, innovative approach to software development. We already have a large, complex platform that has been significantly architected and developed in-house, and the immediate goal is to bring this system fully into production while laying the foundation for multiple future projects built using this new development process.

This role carries the same expectations as a traditional senior tech lead, but with the added requirement that AI-assisted workflows are used expertly as a force multiplier across the entire development lifecycle — enabling significantly higher output, speed, and throughput than traditional methods.

This is not a prompt-only role. The developer must independently design systems, validate architecture, integrate AI-generated code, and deliver production-ready software at scale and on schedule. AI is not optional — it is core to how success in this role is measured.

Initially, this position will work almost exclusively with the CEO, collaborating closely on architecture, implementation, and execution across personal and company-critical projects. As the systems mature, this role will help scale both the technology and the development process to broader teams.

### **What You’ll Do**

* Lead end-to-end design, development, and delivery of production-grade applications using AI-first workflows

* Collaborate directly with the CEO on architecture decisions, priorities, rapid prototyping, and execution

* Bring an existing large-scale, complex platform into full production readiness

* Architect, build, and maintain scalable, secure, high-traffic systems, including custom CMS and e-commerce platforms

* Use AI tools (e.g., Claude Code) to dramatically accelerate development while maintaining strict engineering standards

* Review, refactor, connect, and harden AI-generated code into cohesive, maintainable systems

* Own frontend, backend, APIs, databases, and integrations across the full stack

* Design and maintain complex CMS solutions for large-scale prescription medication e-commerce systems

* Ensure database integrity, performance optimization, and scalability

* Partner with DevOps on deployments, CI/CD, and environment automation

* Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and production issues

* Document systems, workflows, and technical decisions clearly

* As the organization scales, lead and mentor two mid-level developers to ensure execution, quality, and delivery

### **What You Bring**

* Senior-level software engineering experience with a proven record of shipping complex systems

* Deep hands-on experience with AI-assisted development and the ability to produce output at a multiple of traditional velocity

* Strong proficiency in:

* **Backend:** PHP (standalone and framework-based), Node.js, Python
* **Frontend:** React, Next.js
* **Databases:** MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL, SQL/NoSQL
* **APIs:** REST and/or GraphQL

* Strong experience with the LAMP stack and database performance tuning

* Solid understanding of:

* System architecture and design

* Deployment environments and configuration

* DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

* Ability to critically evaluate, rewrite, and productionize AI-generated code

* High ownership, accountability, and comfort operating autonomously under deadlines

* Ability to work effectively with US-based leadership and time zones

### **Nice to Have**

* Advanced experience with Claude Code or similar AI coding platforms

* Experience building AI-powered or AI-integrated products

* Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, GCP, Azure)

* Magento or large-scale e-commerce platform experience

* Strong Python experience

* Startup or fast-paced environment experience
