BIM Operator / Technology Designer

We are now part of Trinity Consultants' global family of firms focused on environmental disciplines. We are hiring a talented BIM Operator to join our New York team.

This is primarily a production role for a BIM Operator to employ CAD, Revit, Bluebeam and related tools and skills to assist in the design of security systems, audiovisual systems, IT infrastructure, and sound masking systems. In this role you will be responsible for understanding the project team's needs and goals at various stages of a project, and work closely with internal team resources, including the project manager, lead designer / consultant, and BIM Manager to provide design documentation associated with the project, including sketches, drawings, models, and details required for the project deliverables. At times, the BIM Operator will also represent our team in meetings and correspondence with external project team members when discussing BIM-related topics, to facilitate the expectations of the architectural project team. It is also anticipated that the BIM Operator will work efficiently on multiple projects, with multiple project teams, to achieve high-quality deliverables while meeting project deliverable deadlines.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

· Setup projects using corporate standards and best practices, including links to models, views, layouts, title sheets, details, etc., to design and document enterprise-class technology solutions using CAD, Revit, and related tools and skills.

· Read architectural drawings and review System Designer markups to create infrastructure drawings on supplied backgrounds / models, as well as schematic diagrams and details.

· Contribute to and assist in maintaining the libraries, families, and templates for the Production Team.

· Maintain version and document control, as required, by following file management protocols.

· Prepare and distribute deliverables to the project team.

· Work on multiple projects simultaneously and work with the internal and external project team members to produce high-quality deliverables within the project milestone dates. Perform quality control on project documents at each deliverable phase to ensure compliance with the project requirements.

· Demonstrate analytical skills to support tasks such as network design analysis and evaluation of infrastructure layouts.

· Take direction from BIM Manager and Project Managers, perform efficiently, communicate timely, and adapt to changing priorities.

· Assist the BIM Manager and Project Managers in estimating efforts for tasks and deliverables to establish timelines that allow for quality control, prioritization, and successfully meeting milestone deliverable dates.

· Must be a problem solver and team player that is able to work independently, productively, and with minimal supervision.

· When representing Trinity on external videoconference calls, meetings, and correspondence, such as emails, the BIM Operator will treat the client, the owner, as well as the other project stakeholders and team members in a professional manner.

Qualifications & Experience

· 3+ years of relevant experience in architecture, engineering, or technology systems for the built environment, including producing plans and drawings for construction projects.

· Must be familiar with architectural and engineering drawings.

· 3+ years of professional experience using Bluebeam, CAD and/or Revit.

· Working knowledge of various Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Word, Excel, and Outlook).

· Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.

· Autodesk certifications and badges desired.

· Excellent teamwork and communication skills is paramount.
