Dairy Manager

Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace is growing and we’re looking for a Full-Time Dairy Manager to lead our busy Dairy Department. Key Responsibilities

Department Oversight:

1. Monitor freezer and cooler conditions, ensuring proper temperatures, product placement, rotation, and cleanliness.
2. Assess department operations and develop strategies for improvement.
3. Review merchandise handling to boost productivity and maintain high-quality standards.

Customer Service:

1. Address and resolve customer concerns promptly, ensuring an exceptional shopping experience.
2. Communicate service issues to staff and develop solutions to maintain department excellence.
3. Ensure staff follow company procedures and uphold quality service standards.

Associate Training & Development:

1. Train staff on job responsibilities, product knowledge, sanitation, and customer service.
2. Teach department standards, policies, and seasonal sales processes.
3. Support staff growth and development within the department.

Requirements

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Dairy Manager in a fast-paced retail environment.
3. Strong knowledge of grocery dairy operations including inventory, stock rotation, shelf life, staffing, training, delegation, and scheduling.
4. Exceptional management and customer service skills.
5. Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
6. Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
7. Ability to work assigned schedules and adapt to department needs.
8. Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Working Conditions

1. Frequent movement on hard surfaces; may include bending, reaching, stooping, climbing, and handling merchandise.

4. Occasional contact with cleaning agents or industrial equipment necessary for job duties.
