Psychiatrist: inpatient, Part-Time, Brooklyn (New York)

NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Part-time (0.65 FTE) In-patient Psychiatrist . Both new graduates and experienced psychiatrists are encouraged to apply.

The Inpatient Staff Psychiatrist will be an integral member of the multidisciplinary clinical team, providing high-quality, evidence-based psychiatric treatments to patients. The role involves conducting comprehensive assessments and developing tailored treatment plans for individuals with various mental illnesses from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. The psychiatrist will collaborate with unit-based nurses, social workers, pharmacists, psychologists, primary care physician assistants, and hospitalists. The position includes participation in inpatient case conferences and departmental initiatives under the supervision of the Service Chief of Psychiatry.

Located in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is a 651-bed academic institution affiliated with Weill Cornell Medicine, serving Brooklyn and surrounding communities for over 135 years. The hospital offers nine graduate medical education residency programs and six fellowship programs.

The salary range for this position is $195,000 to $214,000 annually, excluding benefits and potential incentive payments based on quality and productivity. The selected candidate will be eligible for academic appointment at Weill Cornell Medical College, with rank commensurate with experience and credentials.
