Senior DevOps Engineer (New York City, Los Angeles, or San Francisco)
As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Regard, you’ll scale and secure the infrastructure behind our healthcare AI platform. You’ll design, build, and own systems that make our applications reliable, secure, and easy to deploy, both internally and within customer environments. You’ll collaborate with engineering and customer IT teams to deliver seamless integrations, drive automation, and champion DevOps best practices.
As a senior engineer you’ll lead initiatives, set technical direction, and mentor teammates, all while keeping our infrastructure resilient and future-proof.

Our Tech Stack:
- Backend: Python (FastAPI, Flask), PostgreSQL, Redis, Celery
- Infrastructure & DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), AWS (SQS, SNS), GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, DataDog, OpenTelemetry, Pulumi
Responsibilities:
- Automate workflows and CI/CD pipelines to speed up delivery and reduce manual toil
- Build automated testing frameworks that ensure every deployment is reliable at scale
- Strengthen our security posture by implementing controls, conducting audits, and applying remediations
- Lead and support client integrations, ensuring smooth deployments into healthcare IT environments
- Evaluate and implement new tools, sharing best practices across the team
- Act as a technical leader and mentor within the DevOps team
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience/certifications
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or similar role
- 3+ years of hands-on Kubernetes experience
- Proficiency with Python scripting
- Deep experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi)
- Expertise with CI/CD pipelines and tooling (e.g., GitLab CI)
- Proficiency with observability systems (e.g., DataDog, OpenTelemetry)
- Practical experience leveraging AI coding tools in day-to-day software development (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Codex)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST)
- Expertise with GitOps tools (e.g., ArgoCD, FluxCD)
- Passion for leveraging AI in engineering and healthcare
Hybrid Work | Location | Work Authorization
- For this role, Regard is currently only considering candidates who are authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship, and are within the New York City, Los Angeles, or San Francisco metro areas
- Our expectation for this role is to be in the office 2 days per week. We may request more frequent in-office work during the onboarding period and team onsite weeks
- For those who enjoy working from our LA or Manhattan offices on a more regular basis, we offer catered lunches and other fun perks
- Additionally, hybrid employees have the flexibility to work from locations outside of their home office from up to 6 weeks per year

$165,000 - $210,000 a year
At Regard, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your skills, qualifications, location, and experience. We expect the base salary range for this position to be $165,000 to $210,000. This is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
