Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist, Registered (Weekend Coverage)

Location: New York, NY 10003

Shift: Day Shift (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM), Saturdays & Sundays

Contract Duration: 9 Weeks

Hours: 15 hours/week (2 days/week, 7.5-hour shifts)

Position Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures and support radiologists in delivering accurate and timely interpretations. This weekend-only role is ideal for a professional who excels in outpatient imaging environments and is committed to patient safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for ultrasound examinations
• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with established protocols
• Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment safely and effectively
• Capture, process, and transmit images to PACS for radiologist review
• Assist radiologists during specialized imaging procedures as needed
• Maintain, clean, and perform basic troubleshooting of ultrasound equipment
• Ensure adequate supply levels and equipment readiness
• Coordinate patient scheduling and transport when required
• Support onboarding and mentorship of new staff members
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist (Required)
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification (ARDMS) (Required)
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and Microsoft Office
• Strong understanding of clinical and administrative practices
• Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality

Education Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Diagnostic Medical Technology (Required)
  
  OR
• High School Diploma/GED with completion of an accredited ultrasound/sonography program (Required)

Certifications & Licensure

• ARDMS – RDMS Certification (Required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (Required)
