About the Role

We are hiring a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to pioneer automation strategies across our iOS app, backend infrastructure, and cutting-edge AI systems. You'll collaborate closely with our engineering, product management, and AI teams to build robust, scalable automation frameworks and ensure the highest quality standards for our users.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for our iOS applications, backend services (Golang), and integrated AI systems (Python).
• Design comprehensive test strategies, including integration, regression, performance, and scalability tests.
• Automate testing of AI models and API interactions, ensuring accurate responses, compliance with trust & safety guidelines, and adherence to data privacy requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to embed automated testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Identify, document, and track bugs, driving resolution through automation and improved development practices.
• Implement continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of releases.
• Continuously improve testing practices, tools, and methodologies across the engineering team.

What We're Looking For

• Startup mindset: Comfortable with ambiguity, iterative development, and wearing multiple hats when needed.
• Experience with AI technologies, particularly around testing, evaluation, and monitoring of Generative AI models.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform.
• 4+ years of experience as an SDET or automation-focused QA Engineer.
• Proven experience building and maintaining automation frameworks for mobile (iOS) and backend systems.
• Hands-on experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., ArgoCD, CircleCI, GitHub Actions).
• Strong scripting and programming skills (Python, Golang, or TypeScript preferred).

$177,500 - $213,000 a year

Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary range is reflective of a position based in New York City. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
