Position: Patient Registrar
Shift: Monday – Friday,8AM - 4PM
Department: Rheumatology
Pay - $20-$21/hr
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED (required); some college preferred
- 1 year of Birth registration Experience
Technical & Administrative Skills
- Proficiency in patient registration systems and Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Strong knowledge o f birth registration laws, state reporting requireme nts, and confidentiality regulations (e.g., HIPAA)
- Experience completing and processing birth certificates and related legal documentation
- Accuracy in data entry, record verification, and document filing
- Familiarity with medical terminology and hospital administrative procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer applications
Interpersonal & Communication Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication to interact with patients, family members, and medical staff
- Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations with compassion and professionalism
- Ability to explain procedures and requirements clearly to new parents and staff
Organizational & Problem-Solving Skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining official records
- Sound judgment when handling confidential and time-sensitive information
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other departments
Preferred Qualifications
- 6–12 months of prior experience in hospital registration, health information management, or medical records
- Familiarity with state electronic birth registration Duties
