Overview:

St. Mary’s Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Pediatrician to join our compassionate and collaborative Pediatrics team in Amsterdam, NY. In this full-time role, you’ll provide comprehensive primary care to infants, children, and adolescents while working alongside a supportive team of pediatricians, family medicine providers, and clinical staff. Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough examinations on newborns and children, monitoring their health and physical development.
• Reach informed diagnoses based on scientific knowledge and individual medical histories.
• Prescribe medications with detailed instructions for administration and monitor their effectiveness.
• Prepare and administer vaccines according to governmental vaccination plans.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care strategies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay updated with the latest advancements in pediatric care.

Qualifications:

Required Credentials - Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Physician licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of New York

Preferred Experience - Previous experience in a pediatric setting is preferred but not required.

Education - Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution

Skills - Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Salary Range - $183,844 - $281,750 (commensurate with experience).
