Established (15+ Years) Premier Firm Seeking Paralegal for Plaintiff Personal Injury Practice in Albany, NY

An established firm based in Albany, NY with over 15 years in practice is seeking a Paralegal with 3-5+ years of experience to join their team fully onsite. This role will support a tight-knit team of trial attorneys handling a broad range of plaintiff personal injury matters , including automobile accidents, motorcycle crashes, construction site injuries, medical malpractice, pharmaceutical negligence, products liability, and sexual abuse survivor representation.

Offer: Salary range: $55,000-$67,000+, contingent on experience

Qualifications: 3-5+ years of paralegal experience supporting plaintiff personal injury litigation

Paralegal certificate, Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree preferred

Strong working knowledge of New York civil procedure, court filing rules, and discovery deadlines

Hands-on experience drafting pleadings, discovery demands and responses, bills of particulars, and motion papers

Familiarity with medical records retrieval, summarization, and chronology preparation

Proficiency with case management software, NYSCEF e-filing, and Microsoft Office

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, medical providers, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel

Highly organized with sharp attention to detail and the ability to manage a heavy caseload in a fast-paced litigation environment

Demonstrated discretion and sensitivity when working with clients on emotionally difficult matters

Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive litigation support from intake through settlement or verdict across a diverse plaintiff personal injury caseload

Draft, format, and finalize pleadings, discovery demands and responses, subpoenas, bills of particulars, and correspondence under attorney supervision

Request, organize, and summarize medical records, billing records, employment records, and other key case documentation

Prepare detailed medical chronologies, damages summaries, and case reports to support settlement negotiations and trial preparation

E-file documents through NYSCEF and ensure compliance with all New York state court filing deadlines

Coordinate depositions, independent medical examinations, and expert witness scheduling

Maintain organized physical and electronic case files and ensure accurate calendaring of all critical deadlines

Communicate regularly with clients to provide case updates, gather information, and support them throughout the litigation process

Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including assembling exhibits, coordinating witnesses, and preparing trial binders

Liaise with insurance adjusters, medical providers, court personnel, and outside vendors as needed to move cases forward efficiently
