Non-CDL Driver

Our client, local warehouse company in New Paltz, is seeking Non-CDL Drivers who are willing to obtain their CDL within six months of their hire date to deliver product to and from work locations locally. Our retail delivery routes range from Lower Westchester/Rockland north to the Canadian border. Complete training will be provided before running any routes solo.


We guarantee steady work with a 40+ hour work schedule spread over four days (Monday to Friday) and the option for overnight delivery routes in Plattsburgh, Lake Placid, or Lake George.


This is a full time, direct hire opportunity . It is typically a 4 day work week, averaging 10 hours per day. Pay is $20 per hour.


To succeed in this function, you will need a valid driver's license, at least one year of local driving practice (preferred but not required), and the capability and availability to work flexible hours and days. You should be able to interpret numerical values on merchandise, have expertise of local, state, and federal highway rules and DOT regulations, and be familiar with the New York/New Jersey delivery territories. Additionally, you must be physically fit and able to fulfill the demands of the job.

As a driver, your responsibilities will include delivering pre-loaded pallet orders and assembling orders from truckload. The job requires physical strength and the capability to handle approximately 20 stops per route, all while maintaining a steady pace. You must be able to lift up to 150 lbs. and use a hand truck or pallet jack for delivery. The job requires working out of a 26' straight box truck or trailer, if available.


When deliveries aren’t being made, you will assist in the warehouse with loading and unloading trucks and putting product where it belongs in the warehouse. We are also looking for someone who is flexible in their schedule and can work overnights when needed.
