LVN/LPN – Medical Surgical (MS/Tele)
Location: Rochester, NY 14626
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift – 3x12 Hours (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Schedule: 36 Hours Weekly
Position Overview
A healthcare facility in Rochester, New York is seeking an experienced LVN/LPN for a 13-week Med/Surg Telemetry contract assignment. This opportunity is ideal for candidates looking to work in a fast-paced acute care environment. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting
- Monitor patient conditions and document changes accurately
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Administer medications and perform basic nursing procedures
- Manage feeding tubes, Foley catheters, and glucose monitoring
- Support patients with daily living activities and mobility
- Follow infection control and isolation protocols
- Float to other patient care units based on staffing needs
- Maintain accurate charting in the EPIC EMR system
Requirements
- Active New York State LVN/LPN License
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience
- BLS Certification required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- MS/Tele experience preferred
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
