Assistant Project Manager
EFY Sales, LLC – Assistant Project Manager (Kitchen & Bath Cabinetry)
EFY Sales is a dynamic NYC- and WBE-certified supplier of kitchen and bathroom cabinetry, custom casework, bathroom accessories, and specialty items for General Contractors, Developers, Landlords, Property Managers, and Government Agencies.
Candidates must have direct experience in the kitchen and bath cabinet industry. This role is not suitable for candidates without prior background in this sector.
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) plays a critical support role in the organization’s operations. The APM will assist in project estimating, ordering, and budget tracking, ensuring that all projects meet company standards and client expectations in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with architects, clients’ project managers, and site superintendents.
- Assist in selecting subcontractors and delegating responsibilities.
- Manage delays and emergencies to a satisfactory resolution.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and legal requirements.
- Report on project progress, costs, and timelines to management.
- Prepare budgets, cost estimates, and work timetables.
- Work with the executive team to enhance organizational capabilities.
- Establish and maintain productive, peer-to-peer relationships with clients.
- Support strategic initiatives that are critical to other departments and leadership.
SKILLS / CORE COMPETENCIES:
- Direct knowledge of the kitchen and bath cabinetry industry —materials, manufacturing lead times, installation challenges, and construction coordination.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proactive, positive, and solutions-oriented approach.
- Familiarity with NYC multi-family housing projects (affordable and market-rate) is a plus.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Prior experience in the kitchen and bath cabinet business is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in project management, estimating, or coordination roles—ideally within the kitchen and bath cabinetry.
