This role will serve one of our mixed-age kindergarten programs. The Lead Teacher is responsible for delivering our play-based curriculum, rich in artistic activity and immersive outdoor experiences. Qualified candidates have a warm disposition, are curious and open-minded, and have a deep comfort working in a year-round forest program, along with a Waldorf Early Childhood Education Certification from a WECAN-approved program and a commitment to Waldorf pedagogy.
Applicants must be dedicated to excellence in teaching and recognize the importance of educational equity, self-development, and collegial cooperation. 5+ years of classroom experience is preferred.

Acorn Waldorf School is a forest preschool in beautiful Accord, NY. We are located on 7 acres of meadow & forest spaces with four yurts, a vegetable garden, sandboxes, rabbits, climbing structures and the winding paths, animals, trees and mud that nature provides. We serve young children ages two through six as well as parent child classes.
