Position Overview

We’re looking for an Accounting Manager to join our Finance team in New York City. In this role, you’ll play a key part in managing the day-to-day accounting operations while supporting the Corporate Controller with financial reporting, compliance, and process improvements. You’ll work closely with accounting staff, leadership, and cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency across our financial operations.

What You’ll Do

• Contribute to the monthly closing process, including enforcing standard procedures and reporting deadlines.
• Review and preparation of monthly account reconciliations including some analysis prepared by accounting staff.
• Oversee certain aspects of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and other daily transactions.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal controls.
• Assist FP&A as needed in order to support budget, forecasts, variance analyses, and other financial reporting needs.
• Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency.
• Collaborate with external auditors during year-end audits.
• Provide financial insights to assist with decision-making across the business.

What You’ll Bring

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience at a public accounting firm
• 4–5 total years of experience
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accounting best practices.
• Proficiency with accounting software (experience with ERP systems such as Financial Force/Certinia, Deltek Ajera and QuickBooks a plus).
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to work effectively across departments.

Preferred:

• CPA license or progress toward certification.
• Experience in a larger public accounting firm.
• Experience in professional services or PE-backed companies.
• Experience with acquisition integration.

Work Environment & Schedule

• This position is based in our New York City office, 4 days in office and one day remote.
• Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $115,000.00 – $125,000.00 , based on knowledge, skills, and experience.
