Senior Product Manager, Money Movement
Flex is a growth-stage, NYC headquartered FinTech company that is creating the best rent payment experience. It’s hard to believe that it’s 2025 and paying rent on time is expensive, inflexible, and difficult. We’re here to change that! Flex enables our users to pay rent throughout the month on a schedule that better fits their finances and budget. Our mission is to empower as many renters as possible with flexibility over their most significant recurring expense. After deliberately keeping a stealth profile as we built up unprecedented investor support and an enthusiastic user base, we are looking for motivated individuals to help us keep our mission growing. Will you be a part of the team?
About the role
Flex is embarking on a new phase of growth, seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager for our platform team. In this role, you'll drive both current product enhancement and expansion efforts, ensuring Flex's products are supported by a flexible, scalable and reliable money movement platform. Your responsibilities include enhancing foundational modules to align with Flex's consumer products and use cases, helping with platform strategy, and closely collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve goals. As the platform PM, you'll be the primary contact for Ops and Engineering teams during incidents and will coordinate stakeholders to optimize customer service. We prioritize a customer-first approach to planning, designing, and implementing platform features at Flex.
This is a hybrid position with on-site expectations of 3 days per week in our New York Headquarters. For candidates outside of the NY/NJ area, you may be eligible for our relocation assistance program.
What you’ll do
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assist in defining Flex’s money movement strategy and roadmap, aligning it with the company's overall vision and business objectives
- Drive the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation and requirements gathering to release and post-release analysis
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure the successful execution of the product roadmap, providing clear and detailed specifications, prioritizing features, and addressing technical challenges
- Own (define and analyze) key metrics to measure product success and make data-driven decisions
- Lead and facilitate cross-functional meetings, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and stakeholder presentations
Key qualifications
- 5+ years of technical product management experience.
- Proven track record of working closely with engineering for successful product delivery (execution excellence).
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to comprehend engineering systems and architectures.
- Demonstrated ability to drive impact on goals and metrics through quantitative analysis.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and effectively communicating data-driven recommendations to non-technical stakeholders, including leadership.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently, taking ownership of projects and ensuring quality outcomes.
- Passion for problem-solving and a keen intellectual curiosity.
- Highly motivated team player with a startup mindset, capable of handling multiple projects.
- Previous experience in fintech, banking, or credit products is advantageous.
The compensation range for this role will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and Flex's internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks. For working locations in NY/NJ/CA, the base salary pay range will be $191,000 - $204,000
