While candidates in the listed location(s) are encouraged for this role, candidates in other locations will be considered.
As a Sr. Compensation Analyst, you will support the delivery of mid-year and year-end compensation planning cycles for multiple parts of the business, using the Pave platform. You’ll help maintain high-quality compensation data and support the tools and systems that scale our programs.
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Compensation Programs and Operations, you’ll partner with teammates and cross-functional stakeholders to support the program management, testing, and implementation of global compensation programs and help scale the compensation team’s frameworks, tools, and practices as the company continues to grow. At Databricks, we don't believe compensation is just a number; it's a tool to recognize that every employee is an owner and a part of our success. We are looking for a team member with a solid foundation and history of success in doing just that!
What you will do:
- Support all aspects of compensation planning cycles for cash and equity, which includes creating and managing the Asana project plan, preparing cycle data, configuring the Pave platform, executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and ensuring the accurate and smooth flow of data across all relevant systems and tools for seamless execution.
- Collaborate with IT People Systems to ensure Workday compensation data, configuration, and reports are accurate, scalable, and efficient.
- Manage and analyze complex datasets to generate clear, data-driven compensation insights that inform decision-making, increase efficiency, and enable scalable growth.
- Participate in technology reviews and system enhancements for the compensation team to ensure tools, processes, and compensation programs scale effectively with the business
- Contribute to compensation projects and operational improvements by documenting processes, supporting system testing, and coordinating with partners across HR.
What we look for:
- 5+ years of compensation experience, ideally supporting compensation planning cycles, in fast-paced, scaling companies
- Experience using Pave or similar compensation planning tools and Workday as system of record; familiarity with Workday EIBs
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; comfort working with large datasets
- Strong competency in understanding, interpreting, and communicating procedures, policies, and information clearly through excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in project management methodologies and techniques
- Ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where foundational frameworks are still being developed and priorities can shift quickly
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with others on the team
- Strong sense of urgency with the ability to handle multiple competing priorities
