Clinical Pharmacist – Specialty Pharmacy & Infusion Services

• Albany, NY (On-Site)
• Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• $135,000 – $137,000 + Comprehensive Benefits

A rapidly growing healthcare organization specializing in specialty pharmacy and infusion services is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join its team in Albany, NY.

This position offers the opportunity to work closely with patients, providers, nurses, reimbursement specialists, and pharmacy operations teams to ensure safe, effective, and timely access to specialty medications.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and verify prescriptions for clinical appropriateness, accuracy, and safety
• Evaluate patient information, diagnoses, and treatment plans to support specialty medication therapy
• Monitor drug therapies and recommend interventions when appropriate
• Identify potential drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, contraindications, and medication-related concerns
• Provide medication counseling and patient education as needed
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and accreditation requirements
• Support specialty pharmacy operations and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Oversee pharmacy technician workflow and prescription processing activities

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted New York Pharmacist license required
• Experience in specialty pharmacy, infusion pharmacy, biologics, rare disease therapies, or complex medication management strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of clinical pharmacy practice and medication safety principles
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
• Excellent communication and patient counseling skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality care
