Location: Flushing, NY

Duration: 13 Weeks (Temp-to-Hire)

Shift: Day Shift | Monday – Friday | 08:30 AM – 04:30 PM

Position Overview

A well-established healthcare organization is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support both clinical and administrative functions in a fast-paced outpatient environment. This role requires strong patient care skills, attention to detail, and fluency in Mandarin to effectively communicate with a diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and clinical procedures
• Measure and record vital signs, medical histories, and patient information
• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments
• Perform basic clinical duties to support patient care
• Manage front-desk responsibilities including scheduling, check-in, and check-out
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked
• Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and team members
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and compliance protocols
• Deliver exceptional patient service and contribute to a positive care environment

Required Qualifications

• Fluency in Mandarin (required)
• Strong clinical and administrative skillset
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare setting

Education & Certifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA) preferred
• At least 1 year of experience in a Medical Assistant role preferred
