POSITION OVERVIEW
English/Language Arts Teacher - Albany , NYThe emphasis is leading the therapeutic journaling program with special education students.
Northern Rivers is seeking an English/Language Arts Teacher for one of its schools. this job offer is responsible for the development and implementation of English/Language Arts classroom instructional plans for students.In this function, you will provide subject area instruction (English/Language Arts) that follow the NYS K-12 English/Language Arts Curricula and preparestudents for exit examinations and statewide assessments.
RESPONSIBILITES
»English/Language Arts instructional materials to provide individual and small group instruction to students of various capability levels,
»Classroom instructional plans with the Special Education Teacher (SET) that integrates the student's IEP goals and objectives, learning style, as well as accommodations and modifications that are needed, and
»Work with the Special Education Teacher (SET) on individual and classroom behavior plans for managing student behavior to maintain discipline in the classroom.
EDUCATION and/or practice General Requirements:
»Bachelor's degree in Communicationor subject area, as appropriate, and capability to work with students who demonstrate emotional and behavioral challenges, ages 6-21.
