Senior Staff Accountant

ITS has partnered with a world-leading manufacturing company based in Rochester to recruit a Senior Staff Accountant.

Position Summary:

The Senior Staff Accountant performs a variety of duties and responsibilities in supporting company operations. Duties include a variety of account reconciliations, journal entries, supporting month-end close, daily review of cash/bank account activity and serving as a backup for accounts payables and receivables.

This position also entails preparing various month-end reports, including shipment trend reports, cash/investments trend, investment scorecard, and profit and loss trend schedules.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Review & Upload Weekly Payroll Files into ERP System.
• Review & Upload Weekly / Monthly Medical Expenses into ERP System.
• Prepare & issue monthly spreadsheets, including P&L Trends, Cash & Investments Trends, 401(k) Plan analysis, Profit Sharing Analysis, Investment Scorecard.
• Prepare monthly Journal Entries, Prepaid Deposit Reclass, Commission accrual and adjustment to actual, Currency Reserve adjustment, Foreign Cash Flux, Liquidity Dividend, RMA adjustment.
• Prepare quarterly journal entries: Investment Income and Inventory adjustment to actual.
• Prepare & issue bi-monthly Backlog and Shipment Trend Report.
• Prepare quarterly ISO Schedules & Charts.
• Prepare monthly analysis of: P&L Trend – Manufacturing.
• Prepare & issue monthly RMA Charts and analysis.
• Reconcile various balance sheet accounts (currently about 30) monthly.
• Prepare Semi-Annual Product Line P&L’s.
• Prepare annual audit Workpapers for all companies, including assisting with year-end close process JE’s/schedules
• Prepare annual R&D Credit Analysis
• Backup for Cost Accountant position.
• Backup to generate, Daily Shipment Reports, Weekly ACH’s.
• Backup to Weekly Employee Payment and Travel Report Auditing
• Write procedures or update as required for all responsibilities
• Perform other /one-off projects as assigned by Manager &/or CFO

  Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 3-5 years’ working experience as Staff Accountant.
• High attention to detail; excellent analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with month-end closings.
• Ability to manage time to meet multiple deadlines.
• May be required to take on additional duties as assigned.
