Maxime’s is the newest private member’s club opening from entrepreneur Robin Birley, located on the Upper East Side in Manhattan, New York City.

We are seeking a Barback to join our world- class hospitality brigade. The Barback support the Bartenders with all preparation aspects, restocking, and maintaining cleanliness. They also work closely with all front- and back-of-house team members to uphold the standards of the bar program and create a welcoming atmosphere, elevating Maxime’s brand and service standards at all times.

What we’re looking for:

• Proven success as a Barback/Beverage Support within fine dining, Michelin-star establishments, or luxury hotel settings.
• Knowledge of bar service as well as culinary concepts and terminology.
• Capable of preparing bar for service by filling wells with ice; preparing fruit trays; restocking the bar with beer, liquor, wine, glassware, and juices; and stocking trash cans and towels; properly rotates products and ensures perishable items are labeled; regularly checks the draught beers to make sure kegs are functional; changes kegs as needed in accordance with safety standards.
• Adheres to all Department of Health and Safety standards related to food and beverage handling, hygiene, and alcohol service.
• Thrives in high- end environments, consistently upholding superior service standards and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
• Capable of operating autonomously with minimal oversight.
• Maintains a professional, upbeat demeanor and embraces a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• TIPS certification required.
• Ability to work a variable schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, per the needs of the business.
