Ten Broeck Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing, a 258-bed skilled nursing facility located in the scenic Hudson Valley, is seeking an energetic, professional, fun-loving Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse for Staff Development Manager position.

Position Summary: Plans develops, directs, implements and monitors program of orientation and education for all facility personnel.Coordinates staff development with the nursing program.Participates/Assists in educational programs for the facility. Provides nursing personnel with the appropriate education, training and practice on an continuing basis for carrying out their assigned responsibilities and organizational goals. Participates in CQI tracking of program and nursing personnel.

suitable education Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current licensure by State Board of Nursing. RN with educational degree preferred.

practice : practice as Charge Nurse, manager or Nurse Educator in long term care preferred.

Job expertise: Must be expertiseable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to the health care field. Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.Must possess leadership abilities and managery capability and the availability to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel. capability to make independent decisions, capability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing quality education and nursing care
