• Coverage Type: Call Only
• Coverage Period: ASAP - Ongoing
• On-Call Shift Schedule: Fri 7pm – Mon 7am (1 weekend per month)
• Call Type: Beeper
PATIENT INFORMATION• Patient Demographics: Pediatric (Newborns)
• Patient Volume/Census: ~1 inpatient; 0.33 admissions/day
• Admissions: Yes (~0.33/day)
• Rounding: Included (Mother Baby Unit)
• Case Mix: Newborn care, nursery, post-delivery stabilization
FACILITY INFORMATION
• No. of Beds in Department: 25 (hospital)
• EMR System: Meditech
• Specialty Backup Available: Adult medicine hospitalist
• Reason for Coverage: Supplemental

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Non-invasive ventilation management (BiPAP/CPAP)
• Intubation (ETT)
• Newborn resuscitation
• Newborn care (>2000 gms)
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active MA License (preferred)
• Board: Board Certified in Pediatrics or Family Medicine
• Certifications: NRP
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide inpatient newborn care in nursery setting
• Perform newborn resuscitation and stabilization post-delivery
• Manage neonatal respiratory support including CPAP/BiPAP
• Respond to in-house codes related to newborns when needed
• Round on patients in the Mother Baby Unit
