About Us
The McCarton Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to transforming what is possible for young children with autism and developmental delays in the Bronx. We provide deeply personalized, interdisciplinary care that helps children ages 2 to 3 build the strongest possible foundation for lifelong growth.
We are not a traditional organization, and we do not aim to be. Since opening our doors in 2018, we have grown quickly, reimagined our systems, and built a community grounded in compassion, creativity, and action. We have served more than 2,000 children and families in one of the most underserved communities in the country, and we are just getting started.
Inspired by the vision of developmental pediatrician Dr. Cecelia McCarton, we set out to provide the kind of care every child deserves but not every child receives. This is a place for mission-driven professionals who want their work to matter. People who lead with heart, think boldly, and show up for children, families, and each other every single day.
Your Role and Impact
At McCarton, Human Resources is not just about policies or paperwork. It is about creating the conditions for people to thrive. As our Manager of Human Resources, you will play a key role in shaping how we lead, support, and grow our team.
You will guide a small but high-impact HR department and serve as a strategic partner to leadership across the organization. Your work will span people management, recruitment, compliance, staff development, and organizational culture, always with an eye toward clarity, care, and long-term sustainability. You will help us stay ahead of growth by designing systems that are thoughtful, scalable, and grounded in our values.
This role is ideal for someone who is proactive and adaptive, who understands the complexity of managing people in a dynamic environment, and who can support both staff and supervisors through change. You will be responsible for setting clear expectations, building accountability systems, and ensuring that all staff feel seen, supported, and empowered to do their best work.
If you believe HR can be both strategic and deeply human, and you are excited to help build a people-first organization that delivers life-changing care, we want to hear from you.
