Pay: $93,600.00 - $187,200.00 per year

Location: This role is based in New York, NY, with flexible work options available depending on team needs, client requirements, and case demands.
Note: Must be admitted to practice in New York and have 3+ years of litigation experience, including courtroom appearances, trial preparation, and participation in trial proceedings. Insurance defense, professional liability, product liability, appellate, federal court, or additional bar admissions in New Jersey, Connecticut, or Pennsylvania are preferred.

Job Description
- Handle all phases of New York defense litigation from case inception through resolution
- Manage discovery, motion practice, court conferences, depositions, hearings, trial preparation, and trial participation
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, legal memoranda, reports, and case analyses
- Conduct legal research and prepare clear, practical legal strategy recommendations
- Participate in and lead depositions, court appearances, conferences, and hearings as appropriate
- Assist with trial preparation and participate in trial proceedings
- Manage case deadlines, litigation strategy, client guidelines, and matter requirements
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, experts, witnesses, and internal team members
- Maintain accurate time records and billing entries
- Work independently while collaborating with attorneys across the firm’s broader defense practice
Qualifications
- New York bar admission required
- 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably in a law firm setting
- Trial experience required, including courtroom appearances and participation in trial preparation or proceedings
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple litigation matters and meet deadlines consistently
- Strong work ethic, sound judgment, professionalism, xrczosw and initiative
- Insurance defense, professional liability, product liability, appellate, or federal court experience preferred
- New Jersey, Connecticut, or Pennsylvania bar admission preferred
