Overview

An advanced engineering organization is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design, prototype, and deploy electronic systems for autonomous platforms.

This role focuses on building the electronic backbone of complex hardware systems , supporting development from concept through field deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design electronic systems from schematic through PCB layout and production release.
• Support prototype bring-up, testing, and validation.
• Design and manage power systems, including battery management and distribution.
• Collaborate with mechanical, propulsion, and firmware teams for system integration.
• Develop schematics, BOMs, and testing procedures.
• Participate in design reviews, testing, and performance optimization.
• Perform hands-on work including soldering, wiring, and debugging.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on hardware design experience .
• Experience with PCB design tools (Altium preferred).
• Strong foundation in analog/digital circuits and power systems.
• Experience with lab tools (oscilloscopes, analyzers, soldering tools).
• Familiarity with embedded systems (MCUs, sensors, communication protocols).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in defense, aerospace, or robotics.
• Knowledge of military standards (MIL-STD).
• Experience with RF systems, motor control, or ignition systems.
• Familiarity with DFM/DFA and rugged system design.
• Experience supporting testing or manufacturing.

Additional Requirements

• Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. Citizen, Green Card holder, or eligible status).
• Onsite work required in NYC.
