Role Format: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, In-Person

Position Summary

The primary responsibility of the Mortgage Servicing Administrator is to assist with the daily operations of the Mortgage Servicing Team. The Mortgage Servicing Administrator will collaborate closely with other team members to assist with the servicing of Real Estate loans. The ability to flourish in a team environment is essential. Interaction with members as well as team members requires excellent member service skills. Close attention to detail, diligent research ability, strong organizational skills and proficiency in written and oral communication are essential to accomplish the responsibilities of the position effectively and efficiently.

Essential Responsibilities (not all-inclusive)

  • Become familiar with Pittsford FCU's Real Estate loan products and provide basic information to members via telephone, email or in person.
  • Respond to member inquiries in person, over the phone or via email.
  • Process maintenance transactions on all Real Estate Loans, including, but not limited to rate or payment changes.
  • Administration of Homeowners' Insurance for Real Estate Loans.
  • Assembling of Mortgage documents for recording along with tracking receipt of recorded mortgage documents and title reports and filing of same.
  • Administration of loan coupons/billing statements.
  • Prepare and distribute notifications of HELOC draw period expiration.
  • Track and report non-Escrowed accounts.
  • Quality review/audit file preparation.
  • Perform transactions to post payments and update account information.
  • Update rates regularly (occasionally multiple times per day) and manage rate tables to ensure accurate rates are published/presented to potential applicants.
  • Provide back-up for other servicing team members with duties such as preparation of real estate payoffs and satisfaction documents; liaison with attorney's office in preparation of real estate closings; disbursements of real estate loans; Freddie Mac reporting and selling of real estate loans; processing escrow payments and escrow analysis administration.
  • Identify gaps in current processes and procedures.
  • Additional tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent plus one to two years minimum of related work experience in loan servicing or in work that provided a working knowledge of real estate loan products is preferred.
  • Desire and ability to learn, with initiative to act and operate independently.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, demonstrated through use of correct salutations, grammar, spelling, punctuation and encryption (for electronic communications) along with effective and positive interactions with credit union members and team members.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and other common computer skills (Internet navigation, etc.).
  • Ability to deal effectively, professionally, and pleasantly with internal team members, members of the Credit Union and members of the communities we serve.
  • Ability to ask probing questions to determine what the member needs.
  • Proficiency in tracking due dates and meeting deadlines.
  • Willingness to work cooperatively and effectively on projects with others while promoting a team environment.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and possess a positive attitude.
  • Representation of the Credit Union's core values (Effort, Fun, Honesty and Integrity, Respect, Tolerance) in all aspects of professional conduct.
  • Notary Licensing is encouraged and valued in this role.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit at a desk or teller height, while using hands to interact with a computer or other technologies. The employee frequently is required to see, talk, and hear. The employee is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is expected to remain attentive and awake while at work.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, as well as bend or move to reach file folders at floor level.

Position salary is based on a 40 hour work week; however, work hours are 8:45 am to 4:45 pm with 45 minutes for lunch (36.25 hpw) Monday through Friday with an occasional need to participate in 8:30 am team meetings or to stay past 4:45 pm to assist a customer. No weekends.
