Job Title: Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Tele
Location: Rochester, NY
Type: Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Night Shift | 3 x 12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 36 Hours/Week
Pay Rate: $54 - $63/hr (Based on Experience)

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Tele (MS/Tele RN) for an exciting Contract opportunity in Rochester, NY.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Medical-Surgical/Telemetry patients.

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and telemetry patients.

• Manage complex patient conditions and prioritize nursing care.

• Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments safely.

• Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and provide patient education.

• Manage central lines, PICC lines, peripheral IVs, and blood product administration.

• Participate in rapid response and emergency situations.

• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC.

• Follow infection control and patient safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Active New York Registered Nurse License required (no exceptions).

• Minimum Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience required.

• Charge Nurse experience required.

• Experience managing 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratios.

• EPIC charting experience required.

• Strong telemetry monitoring experience.

• Ability to float as required.

• Current BLS Certification required.

• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification required.

• Strong clinical skills in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing, cardiac monitoring, rapid response, code team participation, pacemaker management, feeding tube care, blood product administration, central line and PICC line management, peripheral IV therapy, IV insertion, heparin protocols, orthopedic trauma, total joint replacements, surgical drain management, wound care, wound vac therapy, oxygen therapy (including HFNC, nasal cannula, oxygen masks, and portable oxygen), tracheostomy care, and isolation precautions.
