Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse — Emergency Department (ER) travel assignment in Saratoga Springs, NY, United States. Unit: Emergency Department (Combined Adult/Pedi) with an approximate census of 120 visits per day and 36 beds. Start date: 09/14/2026. Duration: Weeks. Shift: 3x12-hour days. Weekly pay: $1,438–$1,511. Setting: Hospital. This is a temporary, travel assignment managed by Healthforce Healthcare LLC. Key Highlights

- Compliance requirements and pre-study: Relias/Healthstream modules required prior to orientation
- Floating: May float within hospital to areas within skillset per manager discretion
- Locals not accepted: permanent address must be outside 50 miles of assignment Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for mixed adult and pediatric populations in the ED, including triage, assessment, monitoring, and rapid intervention
- Perform 12-lead EKG acquisition, telemetry monitoring, rhythm recognition, and dysrhythmia management
- Administer medications and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (Respiratory, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, Rapid Response, Interpretation, Transportation, Unit Secretary) to support patient needs
- Document care in the electronic health record (EPIC) and coordinate with physicians and other clinicians for timely treatment and disposition
- Support high-acuity ED operations, including patient flow, prioritization, and communication with families
- Demonstrate competency in adult, pediatric, neonatal, and geriatric care within ED protocols and hospital policies Requirements
- Licensure: New York RN license (in hand) required at submission
- Certifications: BLS, PALS, NIHSS required at submission
- Experience: Preferred 5 years current ED experience; 2 years in the specialty required for submission; recent references
- Education: RN degree and licensure with active practice in New York
- Clinical skills: EKG/ECG acquisition (12-lead), telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia recognition/management, triage assessment
- Charting system: EPIC experience required
- Medication system: Omnicell experience preferred
- Compliance and orientation: All required Healthstream/Relias modules completed prior to orientation; Relias EKG exam within 72 hours of signing; facility requires passing onsite EKG exam (85% overall and 100% identification of critical rhythms); hospital proctored rhythm test required (>80% overall and 100% for critical rhythms)
- Additional requirements: Flu vaccine required by 11/1; COVID-19 vaccine not required; ability to work in a hospital ED setting; locals outside 50-mile radius requirement Benefits and Support
