What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, participate in emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, demonstrating professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter any suspicious activity and/or unauthorized access.
• Observe and report any irregularities, including property damage, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences, according to site procedures.
• Assist visitors and employees by answering questions and providing directions, while maintaining a courteous demeanor.
• Maintain detailed written reports and logs of all incidents, observations, and activities as required by site policies.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when needed, following established protocols.
• Comply with all company and site-specific training requirements and maintain knowledge of current procedures relevant to the assigned government location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
