SALARY: $60-65K (Pay is dependent on experience)
JOB TYPE: Full-Time
HOURS: 6 AM - 4 PM (Hours in the morning vary between 6 AM and 7 AM)

JOB OVERVIEW:
The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating the timely delivery and pickup of lumber and related materials to and from customer job sites. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset. This position requires someone who can work well in a fast-paced environment while ensuring smooth operations and satisfaction for both customers and drivers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate Deliveries and Pickups: Schedule and dispatch delivery trucks for both residential and commercial customers.
• Customer Service: Answer customer inquiries about delivery status, timing, and material availability, ensuring a positive experience.
• Manage Delivery Routes: Plan and optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize delays.
• Monitor Fleet Operations: Keep track of the fleet’s performance, ensuring all drivers follow safety regulations and company protocols.
• Driver Support: Communicate with drivers to provide updates and resolve any issues that may arise during deliveries or pickups.
• Inventory Management: Assist in tracking the movement of inventory, ensuring that deliveries align with stock availability.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and that all drivers comply with safety and regulatory standards.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, customer requests, and other essential dispatch records.
• Problem Solving: Quickly address and resolve any delivery-related issues, such as delays or customer complaints.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience: Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to multitask, strong problem-solving ability, and organizational skills.
• Technology: Comfortable using dispatching software, GPS systems, and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Knowledge: Familiarity with the local Rochester area and the ability to create efficient delivery routes.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be on the phone or computer for long periods. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
