Job Title: Custodian

Location: YMCA The Center for Youth Programs

Job Type: Part Time

Pay: $16.50 per hour

Reports to: Branch Executive Director

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Custodian to join our team. The Custodian will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our facilities.

Hours:

• *MONDAY THROUGHT FRIDAY- TWO SHIFT SLOTS*
• 2 PM-6 PM*
• 5 PM- 9 PM*

Essential Functions:

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
• Perform floor care duties including sweeping, mopping, and buffing
• Conduct residential painting tasks as needed
• Assist with facilities maintenance such as light repairs and upkeep
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
• Perform commercial cleaning tasks in various areas of the facility
• Execute custodial duties to ensure a safe and organized environment
• Support industrial cleaning operations when required

Requirements

• Proven experience in custodial or related roles
• Knowledge of buffing techniques and floor care procedures
• Ability to perform residential painting tasks is a plus
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards
• Experience in commercial cleaning is advantageous
• Previous experience as a porter is beneficial
