Job title: MEP Inspector

Location: Manhattan Psych Center, Randall's Island, NYC

Compensation Range: $40-65/hour dependent on experience.

About the Role: We are seeking an MEP Inspector to join our PMCM team in NYC, joining the Manhattan Psych Center project, where we are supporting our client who are running the project as the CM. This role will support this project on a full time basis for the duration of the scope of the project.



Responsibilities

• Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with building standards and project specifications
• Inspect all material upon arrival to the jobsite to ensure compliance
• Review plans to identify potential violations
• Document inspections and report any issues
• Determine the quality of materials being used throughout testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or construction management a plus
• Approx. 5 years of experience in building construction trades with MEP focus
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Construction Inspector including inspection of site/civil is required.
• OSHA 30 hr.
• Proficiency with web-based submittal collaboration systems
• Construction scheduling knowledge to support project team
• Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and procedures
• Ability to maintain field and office records and perform quantity computations
• Experience reading and interpreting plans and specifications
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Collaborate with multiple team members
• Ability and coordination to safely maneuver around a construction site
