Mortgage Loan Processor – Hybrid | NYC

Our client is seeking to hire an experienced Mortgage Loan Processor for a hybrid role based in New York City. This position requires full-cycle purchase loan processing experience and a high degree of comfort working within a fast-paced, tech-forward environment. The ideal candidate is resourceful, highly detail-oriented, and committed to creating a smooth, on-time closing experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary point of contact for borrowers from the start of processing through closing

• Perform all processing, pre-underwriting, and pre-closing tasks independently

• Manage the loan file from receipt through final disposition with minimal handoff

• Verify accuracy and adherence to investor and agency guidelines for all documents (including appraisal and title)

• Collaborate with agents as needed to secure missing documentation

• Proactively manage a purchase-heavy pipeline and maintain quality submissions to underwriting

• Coordinate closings and handle follow-ups post-closing when necessary

• Offer support to borrowers reviewing their Closing Disclosure

• Identify areas for tech or process improvements and contribute to implementation

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience processing purchase mortgage loans

• Proven ability to own the entire processing function without support prior to file assignment

• Tech savvy — comfortable with modern systems, collaboration tools, and fast-changing platforms

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first mindset

• Ability to manage multiple files under tight timelines

• Reliable, responsive, and consistently available during business hours

• Excellent attention to detail and adherence to process

• Experience with VA, Jumbo, New Construction, or Condo loans strongly preferred

Additional Details:

• Hybrid role: On-site Monday through Wednesday , remote optional on Thursday and Friday

• Competitive base salary of $65,000

• Monthly uncapped bonus opportunity targeting 17% of base
