Lead Warehouse Associate - Skilled Trades

J&B Installations, Inc . is a commercial and industrial roofing contractor specializing in EPDM, PVC, and TPO membranes. We are family owned and operated and have been the leading commercial roofing company in New York State for over 40 years. J&B Installations is located in Skaneateles Falls, NY with jobs located throughout the greater Central New York area.

This position is responsible for managing the warehouse operations, ensuring materials and equipment are properly stored, organized, and distributed for commercial roofing projects, as well as managing inventory.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)

• Ensuring cleanliness, tidiness and safety of work environment.
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
• Accepting delivery of inventory.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Inspecting inventory for damage and faults.
• Communicating errors to relevant parties.
• Marking and labeling stock.
• General labor taking out trash and landscaping.
• Loading and wrapping stock and equipment on pallets.
• Building loads with forklift and pallet jack.

 Minimum Qualification Standards:

· High school diploma or GED required.

• Previous experience in a warehouse or construction-related environment is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of commercial roofing materials and equipment is preferred.
• Must be available to work overtime and occasional Saturdays during peak season.
• Valid Drivers License
• OSHA 10 preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with inventory management software or systems.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
