MFG is hiring Polishers to join our team at Torrisi!
Major Food Group is coming back full circle to Mulberry St. with the opening of Torrisi, just a few blocks from the original Torrisi Italian Specialties where it all began. Located in the historic Puck Building, Torrisi, a love letter to Little Italy, proudly presents an Italian-American restaurant with an extensive wine program, a New York-Italian cocktail bar and a luxe deli. Chef Rich Torrisi presides over an open kitchen and presents showstopping dishes, with many prepared or finished tableside to engender warm and welcoming hospitality.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Stock shelves, racks, tables and service stations with new or transferred supplies.
- Receive, open, unpack and stock restaurant supplies.
- Polish all glasses and silverware to be used in the dining room.
- Restocks dining room with china, silverware, glassware, utensils, condiments and linen, and maintains adequate supplies in the work stations when dining room is open.
- Fold napkins and make extra place settings.
- Responsible for ironing, linen organization, and maintaining an orderly linen area.
- May also be assigned other porter duties as needed, based on business levels and operational requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 0-1 years experience working in service industry
- Dependable, hard-working, and punctual a must
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Open availability a must - both daytime and overnight schedules available
