LINE COOK — Miriam Park Slope | Full-Time

Dinner Service $21–$25/hour

Miriam Park Slope is the original — the Brooklyn neighborhood restaurant that started it all in 2005. Chef Rafi built Miriam on vibrant Israeli-Mediterranean cooking: scratch-made hummus, wood-fired proteins, bold spice, seasonal produce. Twenty years later, we're a growing 6-location NYC restaurant group and still cooking everything from scratch, every day.

We are hiring for a full-time Line Cook for dinner service at our Park Slope flagship. If you take pride in your mise en place, move with purpose on the line, and want to grow with a group that promotes from within — keep reading.

THE JOB:

• Run your station (grill, sauté, or cold) through 150+ cover dinner services
• Execute Mediterranean-forward dishes with consistency and speed
• Prep your station, maintain FIFO, keep your area spotless
• Cross-train across stations — we want versatile cooks, not one-trick ponies
• Collaborate with the KM and sous on specials and seasonal menu changes

SCHEDULE:

• Full-time, 5 days/week
• Dinner shifts only (typically 2pm–close)
• Must be available weekends — this is a restaurant, not a desk job

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• 1+ year on a line in a full-service restaurant (NYC preferred, not required)
• You can handle a rush without losing your composure or your standards
• Strong knife skills and a solid foundation in cooking technique.
• Reliable. On time. Every shift. No exceptions.
• NYC Food Handler's Certificate (or willingness to get one before start)

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:

$22–$26/hour depending on experience (we pay above market)
