Lead Product Manager
Who We Are
Maybern is transforming the way private fund managers effectively manage their funds through cutting edge technology. Maybern is founded by top engineering experts with deep knowledge of the fund management space.
Private funds manage $15T in capital and are growing at 20% YoY, but with increasing regulatory scrutiny and investor demands for transparency, the need for world class software to help private fund CFOs is crucial.
This is where Maybern comes in. We are equipping fund managers with intuitive, flexible fund management software, enabling private investment managers to focus on what they do best: driving returns for their investors. We are backed by leading venture capital firms and a large number of strategic investors.
Maybern is an NYC based company with a strong in-office culture to drive collaboration, and we are looking to make strong additions to our team.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for an entrepreneurial and creative Lead Product Manager with 5+ years of experience leading the delivery of complex product initiatives with a relentless drive to deliver excellent customer outcomes. The problems that we are solving at Maybern involve a massive amount of business logic complexity, and our PMs need to be able to both understand the big picture and get into the weeds. Being successful at Maybern means having an entrepreneurial spirit and a high sense of intellectual curiosity.
What You'll Do
Own 0-1 product launches: Lead the launch and continued iteration of a new product line focused on fund Scenario Modeling & projections. Partner with product marketing to develop marketing, enablement and training content surrounding this exciting product launch.
Product discovery & research: Plan and conduct user research and data analysis to understand our users’ needs. Uncover insights that unlock new product opportunities, and socialize those insights throughout the organization. Use quantitative and qualitative data to inform product priorities and decisions.
Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with our Product Operations team to leverage their internal fund accounting expertise to inform scoping decisions. Keep stakeholders informed on progress, roadblocks, and impacts to timelines. Partner with Product Marketing on product training & enablement for any product launches you own.
Contributing to our foundations: Work closely with our Director of Product on product strategy and roadmap. As our team continues to grow, you’ll own refining parts of our product process to help us more seamlessly scale.
Who You Are
Collaborative. You have experience working closely with engineering teams, cross-functional stakeholders, and leadership to align on priorities, gather and incorporate feedback, and drive execution. You are a clear and consistent communicator who brings people along in the process.
Product Vision: You build with a user-centric mindset, identifying real user needs through research, customer journey mapping, and frameworks like jobs-to-be-done. You prioritize solving meaningful problems and delivering intuitive, high-impact solutions.
Leader. You take ownership of product direction and decision-making, proactively identifying opportunities and guiding teams toward impactful outcomes. You thrive in ambiguity, can take broad guidance and turn it into an actionable plan, and improve team processes along the way.
Strategic. You balance big-picture thinking with execution, making thoughtful trade-offs between long-term vision and immediate priorities. You can define a compelling roadmap while adapting to changing business needs and constraints.
