Best Western Saranac Lake is searching for a Full-Time Front Desk Agent with exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to join our team. Our Front Desk Agents are responsible for providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests during check-in, throughout their stay, and at checkout, while maximizing room revenue and occupancy. Working closely with the General Manager and other staff, the Front Desk Agent is the face of our hotel, ensuring every guest has a superior experience throughout their stay.

Job Responsibilities:
- Handle check-ins and checkouts in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner.
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work flexible shifts.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
- Answer guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities, and hours of operation in a timely manner.
- Ensure logging and delivery of packages, mail, and messages to guests.
- Answer inquiries from guests regarding restaurants, transportation, entertainment, etc.
- Follow all cash handling and credit policies.
- Obtain all necessary information when making room reservations and follow the rate-quoting scenario.
- Other duties as assigned.
Successful Candidates Must Have:
- At least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of Hotel & Accommodations Guest Services experience preferred.
- One year of hotel experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with reservation systems is a plus.
- Basic computer skills (email, MS Office, data entry).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
