Front Desk (Weekends)

As a Front Desk Receptionist at our nursing home, you will be the first point of contact for residents, families, and visitors. Your primary responsibility is to ensure a positive and welcoming experience for all individuals entering the facility. You will be responsible for managing phone calls, greeting guests, providing information, and performing administrative tasks to support the efficient operation of the nursing home.
Responsibilities:
Greet and Assist Visitors:- Welcome residents, families, and guests with a friendly and compassionate demeanor.
- Provide information about the facility, services, and general inquiries.
- Manage incoming phone calls and route them to the appropriate staff members.
- Take messages accurately and ensure prompt delivery.
- Handle resident check-ins and check-outs efficiently, maintaining accurate records.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure smooth transitions for residents.
- Schedule appointments for residents with healthcare professionals, family visits, and other relevant appointments.
- Maintain an organized schedule and communicate any changes to the appropriate parties.
- Assist with general administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and document management.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Follow established protocols for emergency situations, including notifying appropriate personnel and responding calmly and efficiently.
- Ensure the front desk area is tidy, well-organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Report any maintenance or security issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy and patience in dealing with residents, families, and visitors.
- Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
