We are seeking ambitious business development professionals with a proven track record of success in sales and a passion for building lasting client relationships. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy owning the full sales cycle, from prospecting and winning new business through to account development and long-term relationship management.

The position combines responsibility for growing existing client accounts with a strong focus on acquiring new business through a proactive, direct sales approach promoting our Intellectual Property (IP) services to enterprise clients, with the opportunity to earn uncapped commission and retain ownership of new clients.

This is also a structured leadership development opportunity, designed to fast-track high-performing sales professionals toward Director-level responsibilities based on demonstrated sales performance and business growth.

Key position responsibilities:

  • Develop prospective clients through several strategies including internet sourcing, trade show lists, referrals, various professional directories and personal investigation

  • Foster and close new clients through referrals, cold outreach, networking, and other means (tradeshows, regional organizations, etc.)

  • Responsible for growing new business from existing clients, including working closely with senior leadership to expand current relationships and upsell the TransPerfect portfolio

  • Creatively problem solve to improve current new business development strategy

  • Negotiate rates and deadlines with prospective and current clients

  • Educate prospective and existing clients regarding our services, including TransPerfect’s rates, turnaround time and competitors’ information

  • Liaise with production to ensure that all jobs are handled appropriately and with keen attention to detail, resulting in a perfect product

  • Consistently follow up with clients to ensure their satisfaction with delivery, quality and customer service

  • Understand all industries that TransPerfect markets to including industry leaders, current events and any other pertinent data

Essential experience required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

  • Prior success of exceeding sales targets

  • Superior communication skills
