We are seeking an experienced and versatile Technical Services Specialist to join our team. This is a client-facing role where you will be responsible for administering and supporting SMB environments across multiple industries. You’ll work on a variety of technical challenges, from managing Microsoft 365 and configuring networks to troubleshooting cybersecurity solutions and supporting end users. This position is ideal for a well-rounded IT professional who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and taking a best-practice approach to technology solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 operating systems in SMB environments.
- Administer and troubleshoot Windows server OS.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot business networks, including wireless, firewalls, and switches.
- Configure and administer Microsoft 365 for Business (Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, Entra ID).
- Configure and troubleshoot AV/EDR/DNS filtering and content filtering solutions.
- Support and troubleshoot printer issues across SMB environments.
- Assist users with phone and tablet issues, including email, calendar, contacts, and MFA app setup.
- Support business VoIP systems (experience is a plus).
- Utilize Intune for device management (experience is a plus, training can be provided).
- Interact with customers both remotely and onsite, providing personable, patient, and professional support.
- Approach every issue and solution with a best-practice mindset, tailoring recommendations to fit each client’s business needs.
- Provide hands-on support with equipment setup, including lifting and moving desktops, laptops, and monitors as needed.
- Work in a variety of business environments, adapting quickly to different industries and setups.
- Minimum 5 years of experience administering Windows 10/11 in SMB environments.
- Minimum 5 years troubleshooting and configuring SMB networks (wireless, firewalls, switching).
- Minimum 3 years configuring/administering Microsoft 365 for Business (Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, Entra ID).
- Experience with AV/EDR/DNS and content filtering solutions.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting printers and supporting mobile devices.
- Experience with business VoIP systems (preferred but not required).
- Intune experience (preferred but not required).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Patience and a customer-focused mindset.
- Willingness to learn clients’ businesses to provide tailored technology solutions.
- Ability to lift and set up IT equipment and crawl under desks when needed.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices for SMBs.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple client environments.
- A proactive mindset for identifying and addressing client needs before they become issues.
