About the Role


The Growth mission at The New York Times works to accelerate our subscription business to secure our position as the most successful journalistic institution in the world.

Critical to achieving that goal are the technical platforms that power our customer growth. The Account and User Systems teams manage services that allow users to manage their subscriptions and NYT account details. We are looking for a Product Manager II to manage and evolve these services.

This role is based in our New York City office and reports to the Senior Product Manager, Subscriber Revenue.

Responsibilities:




  • Own the product roadmaps for the Account and User Systems teams.



  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members and other stakeholder teams to identify new opportunities and form product requirements.



  • Prioritize against a range of work, balancing business needs, technical needs, and user experience.



  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and measure the impact of product changes.



  • Demonstrate support and understanding of our value of journalistic independence and a strong commitment to our mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world.


Basic Qualifications:




  • 4+ years of experience in full-cycle product management or relevant experience



  • Experience using a variety of data to inform product decisions



  • Experience working within an agile team environment



  • Experience with delivery of projects within a set timeframe


Preferred Qualifications:




  • SQL fluency for data analysis



  • Experience in the subscription business space



  • News/Media industry experience

The annual base pay range for this role is between:

$125,000 - $140,000 USD
