Project Manager

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred but not required; demonstrable experience acceptable.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in project management.
• General knowledge of construction process specific to NYC market.
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional communication skills.
• Organized and accustomed to a demanding workload and schedule.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Highly self-motivated, pro-active, results oriented individual with robust interpersonal skills.
• A track record of delivering projects on time and on budget.
• Professionally qualified in one of the following fields: lighting, construction, project management, engineering, surveying, or architecture.
• Must be familiar with standard PM tools and templates. Strong MS Office suite skills; knowledge of OASIS a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for defining and managing scope, scheduling balancing resources and costs across multiple projects, multiple departments and/or teams
• Oversees all aspects of assigned projects throughout project lifecycles to ensure completion within the defined scope, quality, and time and cost constraints.
• Communicate with clients professionally and respond to all inquiries promptly
• Prioritize tasks and responsibilities independently; strong negotiation and communication skills
• Own customer complaints and drive them to quick and satisfactory resolution. Drive root cause analysis on escalations and implement changes to prevent issues from occurring in the first place.
• Provides guidance/support to the individual Project Mangers in the department.
• Partners with senior leadership of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities to achieve company goals.
• Develop, manage and maintain up-to-date timelines inclusive of all critical milestones, key interdependencies and resource constraints, applying appropriate project scheduling techniques.
• Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications
• Ensured projects are managed to the correct quality standards and are completed efficiently, on time and to budget

• Excel / Word / MS Project - must be proficient with the aforementioned tools
• Project Management Methodology – needs to have a good working knowledge of PM methodologies, and risk and issue management.
• Decision Making – must be able to work independently and make good decisions on their own.
