Our client is hiring a **Food Service Worker** to join their kitchen team! You'll help prepare and serve meals for students, ensuring a positive dining experience. Some food service experience is a plus. **Location: Albany** **Pay Range: $16.50** **Position Summary** The **Food Service Worker** performs a variety of tasks in preparing, serving, and maintaining food service operations. You'll be responsible for helping with food prep, serving customers, operating a register or POS system, and keeping a clean, safe workspace. **Responsibilities** + Prepare and serve food and beverages according standards and recipes + Set up and restock service areas, beverage stations, and condiment bars + Operate cash register/POS system, handle transactions accurately, and provide friendly customer service + Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and dining spaces + Follow all food safety and hygiene guidelines (including temperature logs and labeling) + Assist with dishwashing, cleaning, and waste removal as needed + Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth service + Perform other related duties as assigned by management **Qualifications** + Previous food service or customer service experience preferred, but not required - training provided + Ability to follow directions and safety procedures + Strong communication and teamwork skills + Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment + Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods + Availability to work varied shifts, including some evenings, weekends, or holidays **Benefits** + Free or discounted meals during shifts If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
