Estimator

We are a well-established and highly respected NYC-based civil and sitework contractor seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our growing team. With decades of experience delivering high-quality infrastructure and site development projects, we pride ourselves on excellence, innovation, and long-term client relationships.

The Role

Due to a strong pipeline of work, we are looking for a hands-on estimator who can support a busy preconstruction team and contribute to the successful delivery of civil projects ranging from $20K to $5M.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications
• Quantify materials and prepare accurate cost estimates
• Source and reach out to vendors/suppliers based on project requirements
• Populate and maintain estimating spreadsheets and bid documents
• Support senior leadership with bid preparation and analysis
• Ideally, independently prepare full estimates and present for internal review

Project Scope

You will be involved in a diverse range of civil and sitework projects, including:

• Site Utilities

• - Water and sewer services

  • Manholes and catch basins
  • Stormwater drainage and detention systems

• Sitework & Infrastructure

• - Concrete sidewalks, curbs, and asphalt roadways

  • Pavement and builders plans
  • Bollards (fixed and security-rated)
  • Paving systems and hardscape
  • Retaining walls and structural concrete
  • Public spaces and recreational installations

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in civil, sitework, or utility estimating
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• Proficiency with Excel and estimating software/tools
• Strong communication skills when liaising with vendors and internal teams
• Detail-oriented with a proactive, self-starter mindset
