As a Security Officer - Aero/Defense Patrol Driver in Rochester, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at this dynamic aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols throughout the premises, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to all personnel and visitors. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. You will be instrumental in supporting access control initiatives and maintaining a visible presence, reflecting Allied Universal's values of reliability, teamwork, and integrity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, including both indoor and outdoor areas as assigned.
  • Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a visible presence and monitoring for unusual behavior or conditions.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal team members and client personnel as needed.
  • Accurately document security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to company and client protocols.
  • Follow all post orders and instructions specific to the location, including those related to the aerospace and defense environment.
  • Provide support during emergencies and/or evacuations as directed by management or site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
