Overview:

Location: Albany, NY

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000


We are seeking an Application Developer to support our NYS Client with the design, development, and support of web-based applications and financial system interfaces. This role focuses on modernizing and enhancing enterprise web portals, integrating with legacy systems, and developing reporting solutions to support complex financial operations. The ideal candidate will leverage Oracle technologies and web development tools to deliver secure, user-friendly, and scalable applications.



Duties:

• Design and develop web portals and program interfaces supporting enterprise financial systems
• Develop and maintain integrations with legacy/mainframe applications
• Build and support web-based applications using Oracle Portal and PL/SQL
• Develop user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Create and maintain Oracle Portal 10g Providers, including dynamic pages, lists of values, packages, and procedures
• Develop advanced PL/SQL packages and procedures to access materialized views and database tables
• Implement sorting, filtering, and conditional logic to support enterprise reporting and application functionality
• Develop and maintain reports using Oracle Business Intelligence tools, including BI Publisher and BI Analytics/Analysis
• Troubleshoot, enhance, and optimize application performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and usability
• Document technical specifications, designs, and development processes

Mandatory Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as an Application Developer
• 5+ years of experience designing and developing web portals for program interfaces and existing mainframe applications.
• 5+ years of experience developing web-based applications using PL/SQL
• Experience using Oracle Portal Content Management System (version 9i or higher)
• Experience developing web-based applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to develop user-friendly interfaces for the general public.
• Experience developing Oracle Portal 10g locally built Providers, including dynamic pages, lists of values, packages, and procedures
• Experience performing advanced PL/SQL coding, including creation of Oracle Portal 10g packages and procedures
• Experience developing database queries and working with materialized views and tables, implementing sorting, conditional statements, and filtering logic within enterprise applications
• Experience developing complex reports using Oracle Business Intelligence tools, including BI Publisher and BI Analytics/Analysis
• Experience working with the NYS Statewide Financial System
• Associate’s degree or combination of experience and education
